He specializes in internal control procedures and systems, internal audit, risk management and general insurance/reinsurance technical accounting. During his tenure with the multinational company in Bahrain for 17 years, he worked with a Big 4 firm on internal audit and risk management and another Big 4 firm on statutory audit. He also worked with a Big 10 accounting firm for two years in Bahrain.
He is a fellow chartered accountant and also a certified internal auditor (IIA, USA). Selastin attended various IFRS seminars in London, Dubai and Bahrain and internal audit conferences conducted by ECIIA in Finland, Amsterdam and Cyprus.
